GLOBAL FLEET OF TENSIONERS up to 65Te WLL

A specialist supplier with F4OR granted status recognition, Motive have industry-leading expertise in cable handling and deployment equipment.
Choose from a range of 2 and 4-track, horizontal and vertical Tensioners, hydraulically powered, with options up to 65Te WLL.
With a handling capacity of product up to 500mm diameter, we can also custom-build to suit project specification.

REEL DRIVE SYSTEMS

Our Reel Drive Systems have been designed with multiple reel installations on multipurpose vessels in mind, however, our 450Te system can also be used for deploying one reel at a time. All functions are hydraulically powered, and large line pulls can be achieved due to the heavy-duty drive units. Our systems are modular and easily road transported, without the need for escort.

TRACK SYSTEMS

A Multi-Reel Drive System is delivered via multiple tracks laid on deck to facilitate multiple reels of varying diameters, helping reduce transit and craneage costs with all required reels loaded onto the vessel at the outset.

BOW CABLE ENGINES

Suitable for lifting 5Te of suspended product weight, our bow cable engines allow the controlled handling of flexible pipe, umbilicals and cables from 20mm to 325mm diameter.

Featuring an integrated electric HPU, control and monitoring is via a remote belly box and panel display, showing product distance, line tension, line speed and grip pressure.

UNDER ROLLERS

Four-wheel drive crane or self-loading under-rollers suitable for reels up to 350Te/11.2m diameter. Can be manually or digitally controlled, and supplied with diesel or electric hydraulic power packs. Self-loading versions supplied complete with cradles to avoid the need for crane loading/unloading of reels.

LINEAR CABLE ENGINES

Horizontal Linear Cable Engines available up to 5Te line pull, suitable for handling flexible pipe, umbilicals, cables and steel pipe from 20mm to 325mm diameter. Featuring an integrated electric HPU, LCEs can be operated locally from manually controlled valves, although the primary control and instrumentation is provided on a remote-control station.

TURNTABLES / PALLETS

A range of Turntables up to 60Te capacity and Pallets ranging from 2.8m to 8m outer diameter offer a cost-effective offshore/onshore solution for controlled rotation for loading, transpooling and deployment of flexible product. They can be utilised topside, vessel, subsea and quayside and modular 4-piece pallets are available for in-gauge cargo transportation.

HYDRAULIC DRUM WINCHES

From 2Te – 320Te SWL, all Motive winches are built onsite, CE compliant, and manufactured to relevant BS EN standards. All winches can be de-rated to match client requirements.

SPOOLING WINCHES

Range of back-tension spooling winches up to 350Te, traction and capstan winches.

TRACTION WINCHES

50Te WLL Hydraulic Traction Winch ideal for spooling, tensioning, or holdback applications requiring a controlled pull on heavy loads.

Perfect for substantial wire installations, the traction winch delivers bi-directional constant tension and comes complete with a fitted adjustable guide, control station, and HPU Package.

AIR WINCHES

ATEX classified/ CE compliant 5Te, 7Te and 10Te WLL Air Winches are available for rental or sale, suitable for ATEX Zone 1 and Zone 2.

MARINE CRANES

A range of marine cranes with fixed or folding booms, up to max lifting capacity 20Te.

CLUMP WEIGHTS

Rental clump weights available from 2Te to 25Te, fully certified and supplied with rigging if required. We also design and manufacture custom clump weights.

Hose/Umbilical Reelers

Comprehensive line of reels with integrated power packs for holding hoses or flexible products. Umbilical Reels can be modified to meet project-specific requirements, for example to include multicore rotary couplings and electric slip rings, and to meet the required radius specifications.

Roller Boxes

Various models including roller boxes, v rollers, aerial roller boxes and cable skates, available for the controlled handling and guidance of flexible pipe, cable and umbilical. Roller boxes can be positioned on grillages and suspended on a forklift to raise product height, or change the direction of the product. They can also be secured together and used as a cable highway.

Self-loading Reel Carriers

Versatile self-loading reel handling transporters to lift, move and turn reels up to 320Te without the need for any cranes. Incorporated under rollers spool product on or off reels.

Shaft Drive Systems

Modular Spoolers fully adjustable for reels from 2m - 5m diameter, variable width and up to 150Te capacity. Modular for containerised transport. Supplied with electric or diesel hydraulic power pack. Operating Mods: Manual Haul In / Constant Tension / Manual Pay Out.

Shears/Hydraulic Cutters

Shears are supplied with a hydraulically powered base to retract the shear jaws after each cutting operation. Mounted on skids, the pipe or cable is fed through the unit, normally using a tensioner. The scissor action shear is hydraulically powered by a remote-control valve which can be located in the tensioner control cabin.

We offer 3 versions of the Dynaset high pressure pump: Standard pumps, Subsea pumps modified for use subsea and mounting on ROVs, and Drilling pumps with extra coating of pistons and valves making it possible to increase the pumping of particles by 25%.

Power Supply - Hydraulic Power Units (HPUs)

Motive specialises in the custom design and manufacture of Hydraulic Power Units / Power Packs for a range of environments, all supplied fully tested and certified.

Designed to provide power to hydraulic driven machinery, Motive Hydraulic Power Units are available in both electric and diesel models, and are suitable for safe area and zone 2 applications accordingly.

HPU ranges from 18kW to 1360kW. ATEX and NORSOK compliant options are available within our range.

The Motive Subsea Basket range is one of the most comprehensive available in the industry - from small tooling baskets and seabed debris recovery baskets, to large pipeline recovery baskets capable of retrieving up to 23 tonne payload.
