Why Motive?
Launched in 2010 by James Gregg and Dave Acton, Motive Offshore Group specialise in the manufacture, rental, and servicing of high-capacity marine equipment, such as winches, umbilical deployment equipment, and subsea equipment.

Headquartered at our 30-acre site in Boyndie, Aberdeenshire, we have additional facilities in the UK, Norway, UAE, US, Taiwan, and Brazil.

In 2022 Motive secured a significant investment from H2 Equity Partners (H2) - an independent private equity firm with a strong performance record and currently managing a portfolio of 14 companies, with over £1.1 billion in sales.
