Ryan Thomson - Regional Manager (Scandinavia)
Ryan began his career working for various oil service companies in Aberdeen, most latterly as a plant operator, and for an industrial tank cleaning company. During this time, he amassed a wealth of knowledge about the oil industry; different applications, plant maintenance, and gained valuable experience working on hydraulics learning about high-pressure systems.
In 2013 local company Motive Offshore Group was recruiting for a Proposals Engineer and Ryan seized the opportunity to work for a young, ambitious company where he felt he could advance his career.

Within just 6 months Ryan found himself taking on a sales management role and relocating to Norway to help establish the first global base for Motive Offshore Group.
Ryan has been a success story within the business, starting as a Proposals Engineer, Ryan has progressed his career well to become Country Manager for Norway. He has risen to all challenges that have come his way and is now playing a fundamental role in our international growth.

Alongside his busy role as Regional Manager, Ryan is currently undertaking a Business Management degree, and also helps advise and support new companies coming to the Norwegian marketplace after being invited to participate in the GlobalScot programme by SDI (Scottish Development International).
