Motive Offshore Fabrication Division Building Success
Motive Offshore Group has seen demand for its Fabrication services increase significantly over the past 18 months, with a turnover increase of over 115%.

In addition to expanding the fabrication division at our Aberdeenshire HQ, fabrication activity has been rolled out across a number of key UK ports, including Peterhead, Aberdeen, Montrose and Blyth in Northumberland.
The shift in gear has been overseen by Colin Forsyth, Motive Fabrication General Manager, who was appointed just under two years ago. He was tasked with providing clients with an enhanced fabrication service, in line with the company’s implementation of a global expansion strategy.
Building on Motive’s reputation in fabricating back-deck equipment, 2018/19 saw the introduction of an enhanced fabrication service which Colin believes is responsible for the increase in contract wins, in both the offshore oil & gas and renewable energy sectors.
The development of the Fabrication division has seen vessel work scopes become a regular feature, with our experienced, multi-disciplined team ready to mobilised across the North Sea for short-notice vessel mob/demob port calls and utilising a ‘one lift’, fully equipped welding workshop container.
