Beast from the North East is revealed!
In the year where we celebrate ten years of Motive, we are also proud to unveil our biggest build to date - meet the 'Beast from the North East'. The 320Te WLL Hydraulic Drum Winch recently joined our rental fleet.
At Subsea Expo 2020 we ran a competition inviting stand visitors to help us with a name suggestion, with Motive employees voting for their winner.
The suggestion from Jan Stander of Optimus Aberdeen, came out the favourite - winning a bottle of Balvenie.
The Boyndie team worked hard to get this impressive build completed on time during a really busy start to Q1, with a number of large-scale projects going through the workshop.
Already, there are scopes of work lined up for The Beast from the North East, until then the winch has been moved onsite to join the rest of our extensive rental fleet which includes high capacity winches, HPUs, marine cranes, subsea baskets and smaller tooling and test equipment.
